The Legion of Bloom started in California with five people with different grower backgrounds all united by a common goal: To create incredible cannabis products. After years of working with 315W CMH with Red Halo LEDs in their cultivation facility, Legion’s Co-Founder Troy Meadows was fed up with the manual labor that was needed to constantly raise and lower the lights and the time spent replacing hundreds of bulbs.
Troy knew the time had come for Legion to make the switch over to LEDs. They began testing different manufacturers to see which reigned supreme over their 4,000 square feet of canopy. The results were extremely lackluster. From more larf, to less dry yields, these other LED companies just weren’t cutting it.
That’s when Fohse lit up their world (literally!) The team of lighting design experts came in and installed 60 Fohse A3i fixtures throughout the facility, and the Legion team began to consistently see better results across the board during a 58 day flowering cycle.
So what’s the secret to Legion’s amazing results? Because of its unprecedented power output and industry-leading coverage area, an A3i system will always require less fixtures to produce similar (or better) light levels as an HPS system or LED system of similar size.
