An A3i system will require half the number of fixtures to produce the same amount of light as an HPS system. In other words, the coverage of one A3i will still produce more light than two 1000W DE HPS lamps.
When we build you a light plan we start with your preferred average PPFD. We then work backwards to determine how many fixtures are required to meet your preferance. We can even predict your cost of cooling and how much you’ll save owning an A3i system over time. Get your custom plan here.
You can use your A3i on 12/12 cycles every day for more than 25 years and it will still be 58% more powerful than a fresh-out-of-the-box 1000W DE HPS bulb.
If you rely on your HPS lamps to keep your crop warm you’re paying a premium for heat. It’s much cheaper to keep your plants warm with a central furnace. Food for thought.

Cannabis uses all wavelengths between 350nm - 780nm for photosynthesis and photomorphogenesis with less attention towards greens, yellows, and yellowy-oranges. If a lamp emits too much of these wavelengths or too much infrared light, the extra energy is converted to heat. More work for your cooling system.
